Today, whilst reading MLIA, I found out that Americans don’t use the word ‘trolley’. I have no idea what word they use instead, MLIB

Today, I was watching ‘Letters to Juliet’ with my class, for the last day of term. We had to concentrate really hard to understand one of the people’s accents. It was the posh English man. We’re from Yorkshire, MLIB

Today, I realised whenever I read a story on here, I read it with a typical British accent, although I am from Newcastle. This annoys me. I’m reading my own story in a typical British accent as a write this. It just wont stop. MLIB

Today, I realised that whenever I hear English accents in American programmes, I get confused for a minute, because of the over exaggeration of our accents. Not everyone talks like the queen. I should know, MLIB

Today, I had to point out my accent for the first time instead of people noticing it immediately, I have lived in America for eight years. I must return to the mother country! MLIB

Today, I was watching Charlieissocoollike; the video where he makes a cups a tea; apparently Americans can’t differentiate from German accent and a British accent and so they believe the whole video is done completely in only a British accent. I found that more funny than the video it’s self. MLIB

Today, I was thinking, I know that most british people, no matter how much we love your accents, typically think american accents are annoying. So what about southern belle accents vs yankee ones? MLINB

Today, I noticed that whenever I’m reading stories on MLIB, I always read them with a British accent. Also, when I went to post this story, the catagory ‘Accent’ was already selected. I’m onto you, MLIB, MLIB

Today, heck, everyday, I get puzzled looks and “corrected” whenever I use the word schedule and pronounce it properly (I’m a Brit living in the USA), MLIB

Today, I realised even though I lived in London for much of my youth before moving to the States. Sadly (it’s depressing, really), after almost ten years, I’ve lost my accent. But my American friends tell me to “talk British” nearly every day and on more than one occassion i have been mocked for saying “oy.” Or about the World Cup, MLINB
